Consortium Governance

The primary decision-making body of the consortium is the MarkVCID Steering Committee, comprised of the Principal Investigator (PI) of each participating site. The Steering Committee, in collaboration with NINDS and the consortium’s External Advisory Committee, is responsible for all consortium policies and procedures.

To help accomplish its mission, the Steering Committee oversees five designated subcommittees: the (1) Clinical Data, Physiological Data and Cognitive Assessments, (2) Imaging-Based Biomarker Datas, (3) Fluid-Based Biomarkers, (4) Protocol Operations and Standardization, and (5) Sharing subcommittees. These Subcommittees, comprised of the participating site’s and Coordinating Center’s experts in each specific area, recommend consortium procedures for review and approval by the Steering Committee.
